Eleven-year-old Hyun-joo has no friends. She wants to be the best friend of Ji-won, the most popular girl in her class. She goes to Ji-won's house to write a "Best Friend Memorandum" and finds out that Ji-won's mother has left. Hyun-joo lies to Ji-won that she doesn't have a mother either. After that, Hyun-joo thought they had become best friends. But Ji-won has many other friends and Hyun-joo has none.

We all have memories of failing to make friends in school. Whether it was a childhood friend you wanted to be close to or a relationship that grew more distant the harder you tried. I hope you can discover our own childhoods through this film.
