Lioness(es)

2008, Color, 20', Live Action
Dir: HONG Jae-hee
Keyword: Drama,Women,
Synopsis
On a meat market, Jung-hee, a butcher, runs away from her abusive husband, Sung-chil, who gambles and even beats her. Her neighbors who pity her suggest that she should eat meat to be strong. She tries to eat the meat after watching a TV show about lionesses hunting.
Director's Note
Violence provokes violence. There is neither justice nor evil in it. Violence toward a human being is bound to return to the perpetrator. The extreme violence of “battered wives” is same. Are they victims? Murderers? Or survivor?
