Manok, a middle-aged lesbian who runs a lesbian bar , begins to struggle after learning the news of her mother’s death. She closes up her bar and goes down to her hometown, Iban-ri. However, Manok faces many challenges in a town that is still full of prejudice and discrimination, including her ex-husband who is the town chief. In order to turn the town around, Manok runs to be the next town chief. 

Since the pandemic, going to the cinema has somehow felt unfamiliar ??often quiet, solitary, and fleeting. I wanted to make a popular queer film that brings friends, family, and loved ones together in a dark theater, laughing, reacting, and enjoying it all at once. I believe laughter can be a powerful tool.

It may be my own desire ??but what can I do?
