2000, Color, 40', Live Action
Dir: LEE Ha

Synopsis
It’s a public bath scrubber's exhausting life in the outskirts of Seoul.
The life of a 'scrubber', which you could say is one of the most third class job, is as shabby as his old and outdated public bath.
The quarrel with a guest in the public bath who comes in at the closing time and disturbance by the manager and guests during his sweet nap in a hot and tedious afternoon...
Keeping the counter while the manager is out, and substituting his meal with just noodles.... his life is weary and tedious.
But there is a scent of hope even to this 'scrubber'.
There are detestable but friendly neighbors, and also there is the public bath that is traced glossily with hardships of people's life. Most of all, there is a lady(Kyung-ja) who lives across from his house. He feels the love with this lady who often comes across on his way back home.
He is as naive as the scent of his skin conditioner and that makes this lady feel the warmness of a man in him.
One day, he plucks up his courage and tells her that his job is a 'scrubber' and invites her to the public bath. On a hot summer night of August... he’s sitting together in the men's public bath. But he can do nothing to the lady he loves...
What could be the best present that he can give to her...?
Director's Note
I wanted to vitalize the tedious and shabby life of a suburb public bath's 'scrubber'. I made this movie in the hope of him(all the scrubbers in Korea) satisfied with this movie after watching. Maybe I wanted to encourage them.
