| A writer is caught between a dream world and reality. Now he must choose between them by either abandoning his muse, the soul of his creativity, or killing off his loving and supportive wife. |

Starry Night is an exploration of the depths of artistic expression through the relationship of a writer with his loving wife. It seeks to engage audience members in actively exploring the evidence of John¡¯s insanity, and of finding possible answers to Van Gogh¡¯s artistic process.
The story manipulates time and space to viscerally chronicle the artistic process of an intensely conflicted writer. He must mentally wrench himself out of his external surroundings in order to visit his muse, a beautiful woman who opens his mind in to bursts of poetic expression. The writer and his wife remain separated during most of the film because it is impossible for her to retreat with him into his mental world. Their two worlds are set in the same space, but are separated not only by night and day, but also by light and dark, consciousness and the subconscious.
