'Highs and Lows' is masses of people climbing a wall. One person, five people, hundreds and thousands of people climb the wall. The cliff is filled with people clinging on for dear life, people trampling over others, and people falling, unable to hold on. In that moment a wave comes and washes everybody away. This happens a few times, until the people swept by the tides stack up to create a massive heap of people. One person climbs up. He looks back while he climbs. He thinks of the moments he has endlessly repeated the falling. Only he realizes the reality of his climbing: the path of lost competition, a situation where no one knows what is at the end of the path.
'Highs and Lows' depicts the landscape of our society by revealing the hidden, unrecognized desire and greed, and exposing glamorized landscapes buried within the society.
This will be the portrait of ourselves, who keep running forward with no purpose, and our society.
