A middle school student, Ji-min hates her alcoholic dad, and mom and brother who left home because of her father¡¯s violence. One day, she thoughtlessly tries to kill herself. Suddenly, she realizes that she is not the only one who has to die. She manages to live, and then comes up with adreadful plan to murder her all family members, and carries out the plan one by one. Even thoughunexpected things occur when Ji-min brings back the family members together, they eventually gather as she planned. They finally go on a family trip, which means a new start for most of the family members. However, it means the end to Ji-min.
This movie was made to describe the damaged relationship of family from the perspective of a childish girl. The girl has strong cynicism toward family itself as one can see. Nevertheless, overcoming such cynicism, I wished to depict the process of finding the strong bond and undeniable intimacy between family members. This is possible because they have at least the faintest hope that they can have the kind of happiness other families have. This movie was created to make people ponder upon the true meaning and value of family.
